Where to start? Well, let’s start at the beginning…

I started off as a waitress, and as everyone knows, it is one of those jobs that not many people like to do. Starting a 7am and working till 11pm at night used to be my everyday life; taking drinks and food orders. But the upside was that I got to meet different people every day and I enjoyed that side of it…. you get to know your regular clients, and with time these people become your friends.

This all came to an end when my son James was born, who is currently 19 months old, and whom I love dearly. While on maternity leave I went to do a Microsoft Office course at Varsity college, to get an introduction to the I.T world.

As time passed I applied for a manager’s position in a clothing store, which was great, as the hours were 9 to 5.30, and Saturdays and some Sundays. I got to meet a lot of great people and made some close friend that I miss. As November and December 2007 approached, I was there day in and day out which I didn’t mind. As January came I decided it was time to make a change as I wanted to spend more time with my family.

I heard that AAT were looking for people and I decided to take the biggest step in my life. When I started at AAT I felt like I was dreaming and I still feel that today, as I work for a great company which is filled with great people. My job entails dealing with clients on a daily bases, and the up side is that I still have time for family as well.

I have always been a hard worker, and started from the bottom and worked my way up. I believe that if you set yourself goals, stick to your guns and work hard, you can reach your dreams.
